you say you want a revolution

there are two forces in this world: imitation and innovation

sony is a company of imitation. the playstation2 is a playstation1 on steroids. the playstation3.. take a guess. more polygons, better textures, faster faster faster.
new games for the ps3 are sequels to popular ps1 games, or new versions of old games.

nintendo is a company of innovation. they are focussed on creating new game experiences and creating games for wider audience thatn just hardcore gamers. a few days agao, at the tokyo game show, nintendo unveiled the controller for their next gen system, revolution. after watching the teaser video for it, i peed my pants.

the reason for choosing the name 'revolution' became instantly obvious.

long time no paint

its been a while since i photoshopped, so here's my quickie before bed.

INT: SENATOR OVALTINE'S OFFICE

SENATOR OVALTINE
(into an intercom) Hold all my calls.

Just then, MACE WINDU and the three worst JEDI MASTERS burst in.

SENATOR OVALTINE
Ooh! A fight, a fight! (He does a flying leap, and slowly kills the three
worst JEDI MASTERs before any of them can react. MACE WINDU is still monologuing

MACE WINDU
..and I will lay my vengeance on thee!

They fight. ANAKIN SKYWALKER busts in. SENATOR OVALTINE shuffles his socks on the rug to charge up, and then --

SENATOR OVALTINE
Take that! (zaps MACE and throws him out the windu.)

last day of the term

tonight is my last class this term. thats good.
then i go to e3 for a few days. and then next wednesday, the new term starts.

weeks fly by these days. and weekends fly by even faster.

this weekend's movies: 'unleashed' and 'the interpreter'. liked them both a lot.

e3 next week, and my term ends. i'm excited about both.

soup and photoshop

ate some yummy campbells soup tonight. but when i opened the can to microwave it, it all splashed on my face and chest. so then i was mad at it, and i cooked it and ate it out of anger. but then it tasted yummy so i wasn't angry anymore.

here's my photoshop painting of the day. this one took a while.. i kept re-painting bits of it.. i'm still not completely happy with it. i lost a lot of the spontaneity of my other paintings. oh well.

i finally got my car washed after over a month.. maybe more. i heard my car sigh with relief as it went into the carwash tunnel. they put some funky pine forest smell in there too.
